festival software package provides General multi-lingual speech synthesis system, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install festival
festival is installed in your system.
Make ensure the festival package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep festival *
You will get with festival package name, version, architecture and description in a table
